FAQs

Whose event is this? Where do the proceeds go?

This is a fundraiser is for the Conservatory. The Conservatory is operated and maintained by a non-profit volunteer group in partnership with the City of Regina.

Proceeds from this fundraiser go towards educational programs, purchase of plants and providing a tranquil, indoor tropical garden for the enjoyment and education of all people in our community.

I've been to the conservatory, are you planning to pack us all in?

Not at all. We want this to be an intimate and tranquil experience and are offering a limited number of spots. Dana has planned an experience that embraces the Conservatory's aura.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

While we provide chairs, feel free to bring a yoga mat, blanket, water bottle, bolster, cushion and comfortable shoes. Wear comfortable, light layers of clothing in case you find it cooler or warmer than you expected.

Please refrain from bringing breakable glassware.

When will the doors open?

Doors will open at 1:00 PMto participants only

Question: I have never meditated before, is that okay?

Answer: Absolutely! The event is about unplugging from daily life and focusing on yourself and your inner bloom. It takes time to become a master meditator and you will be one step further on that path.

Question: I have trouble focusing, is meditation worth trying?

Answer: Our world promotes a face-paced life with multi-tasking and the constant notifications from our electronic devices. It’s okay if your mind wanders. When you realize that you have drifted away, let our facilitator guide your thoughts back.

Question: Do we sit on the ground?

Answer:  We will provide chairs for the participants. Feel free to bring a yoga mat, cushion or bolster.

Question: Are we going to move around a lot?

Answer:  The event is about nurturing yourself and your inner bloom. No sweating involved!

Question: Is it okay to use my mobile device during the event?

Answer: The purpose of the event is to take a mini vacation from everyday life in a tropical and tranquil setting. Just like at a spa, we will ask you to mute or turn off your mobile device because this is a time for you and for those around you to reconnect and honour your inner blooms.
