Membership

The Regina Garden Associates always welcomes new members to our floral conservatory.

A membership is a great way to support the conservatory, and our dream of a new facility in Wascana Centre. Having a larger membership base demonstrates a stronger case for support for a new floral conservatory, and ensuring your membership is up-to-date highlights your continued support for the project. Membership does not require a volunteering component, and you can join simply because you love the floral conservatory and want to support the organization. Your membership helps us continue to improve the conservatory. As a member of the Regina Garden Associates, you:

• have the right to a vote at the Annual General Meeting,
• receive an invitation to members only social functions at the conservatory,
• receive the RGA e-newsletter,
• receive regular RGA emails throughout the year,
• have the opportunity to become a volunteer.

On becoming a volunteer, you also

• have the opportunity to meet and learn from experienced gardeners,
• are covered by our insurance while volunteering.

Through the floral conservatory, we collaborate with our partners to connect people with plants by providing education, programming, and events to foster wellbeing, harmony, and a lifelong love of nature.

To grow a strong, sustainable community that values spending time with plants to cultivate health, hope, and happiness to achieve a state of wellbeing.

Volunteer Opportunities

Leadership Positions – Board positions (check for vacancies) President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Education, Communications, Floral Display Committee, Events, Rentals, Reception, Member at Large.

Reception – greet visitors to the Floral Conservatory

Floral Display – routine daily care of floral displays on one day of the week. Participate in creating one display a year with your team.

Educational Tours – work with school tours, adult tours of the conservatory and/or prepare cuttings for the programs and sales, prepare plant kits for pick up.

Lil Gardeners Program – assist in set up, manning a station, supervision, and cleanup.

Social Events – assist in organizing and executing events that take place at the Floral Conservatory to provide social opportunities and to raise funds.

Maintenance Team – working with the City of Regina to monitor for routine maintenance, and dealing with small maintenance items as they arise (e.g., purchasing large item supplies, painting benches, fixing hoses, etc.).

Rentals – supervising rentals that occur after hours.

New Floral Conservatory Project – join the New Floral Conservatory Committee (NFCC) and help bring the vision of a new floral conservatory in Wascana Centre to life! There are a variety of roles available on the NFCC.

Membership fees:

All memberships are due annually. RGA membership rates from July 1 to the following June 30 is $25.00 per person
