Restorative Yoga at the Regina Floral Conservatory
This monthly class is held at the Regina Floral Conservatory on the first Sunday of every month from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM (except for May, when the class will be held from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM).
There is a limit of 30 participants per class. You must pre-register by reserving a ticket on our Eventbrite page. Tickets go live for reservation the Friday before each class at 12:30 PM (see dates below).
The cost is donation based (give what you can) with all proceeds given to the Regina Floral Conservatory. The recommended donation is $20. Donations can be made before class with cash or tap only.
The class is hosted by Pamela R. Kovacs, a volunteer with the Regina Garden Associates and a Sivananda 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor.
The Gentle Restorative Yoga Class in the Sivananda tradition incorporates breathing (yogic breathing can help reduce stress by deeply and consciously increasing oxygen intake), exercise (yogic exercises can help develop a strong and healthy body by enhancing flexibility and improving circulation) and relaxation (yogic relaxation can help keep the body from going into overload, ease worry and reduce fatigue).
No prior experience with yoga is necessary. Participants will need to:
-Bring their own yoga mat
-Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes
-Be mindful of time (please arrive 10 minutes before class, class will begin on time and the entry door will then be locked)
-Disclose any injuries
-Identify whether adjustments are preferred during class
-Sign a waiver upon arrival
