SUMMARY:Restorative Yoga
DESCRIPTION:This monthly class is held at the Regina Floral Conservatory on the first Sunday of every month from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. \nThere is a limit of 30 participants per class and you must pre-register by reserving your ticket on Eventbrite HERE. Tickets go live for reservation the Friday before class at 12:30 PM (Oct 30 for this session). \nThe cost is donation based (give what you can) with all proceeds given to the Regina Floral Conservatory. The recommended donation is $20. Donations can be made before class with cash or tap only. \nThe class is hosted by Pamela R. Kovacs\, a volunteer with the Regina Garden Associates and a Sivananda 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor. \nThe Gentle Restorative Yoga Class in the Sivananda tradition incorporates breathing (yogic breathing can help reduce stress by deeply and consciously increasing oxygen intake)\, exercise (yogic exercises can help develop a strong and healthy body by enhancing flexibility and improving circulation) and relaxation (yogic relaxation can help keep the body from going into overload\, ease worry and reduce fatigue). \nNo prior experience with yoga is necessary. Participants will need to: \n-Bring their own yoga mat \n-Wear comfortable\, loose-fitting clothes \n-Be mindful of time (please arrive 10 minutes before class\, class will begin on time and the entry door will then be locked) \n-Disclose any injuries \n-Identify whether adjustments are preferred during class \n-Sign a waiver upon arrival

SUMMARY:Parent Cafe
DESCRIPTION:Parent Cafe will be from 12-1 pm on Mondays\, unless otherwise posted. \nAdmission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. \nThe goal of this initiative is to connect and grow support networks for parents who may be struggling with isolation prenatally or postpartum. \nPerinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders affect 1 in 5 women and birthing people\, and 1 in 10 partners each year. Living with PMADs can be difficult\, with isolation a key factor in the severity and length of symptoms. With free drop-ins\, we hope to provide a safe and welcome environment for parents and their kids to connect with others and build their social support networks. \nWhat better place to grow these networks than at the Regina Floral Conservatory\, surrounded by greenery and plants! There is a growing body of scientific evidence that spending time in green spaces improves both our mental and physical wellbeing by relieving stress and reducing symptoms of depression\, to name a couple benefits. \nAn SPHN facilitator will be present at each session to hang out\, chat\, and answer any questions. \nWe will provide complimentary coffee and tea and you are welcome to bring your lunch or snacks to enjoy in our indoor garden. \nIf you are a parent with children prenatal to 6 years old (older siblings welcome)\, we welcome you to Parent Cafe! \nFor more information on the Saskatchewan Perinatal Health Network\, check out there website HERE

SUMMARY:Concerts at the Conservatory - Regina Mandolin Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:Come to the Regina Floral Conservatory on Sunday\, November 29 and enjoy the beautiful music of the Regina Mandolin Orchestra! \nTickets are $10 and must be reserved in advance. All proceeds will go towards building a new floral conservatory. \nTickets can be reserved on our website via Eventbrite HERE \nThe first session will be from 7:00-7:30 pm and the Floral Conservatory will be open at 6 pm for those with tickets reserved for this session. \nThe second session will be from 8:00-8:30 pm and the Floral Conservatory will remain open until 9:00 pm for those with tickets reserved for this session. \n\nTicket reservations will go live at noon on Sunday\, November 8\, 2026. \nDue to capacity limitations\, you must attend the session for which you reserved tickets. \n  \n\nThe mandolin\, known for its contributions to bluegrass or classical music\, is capable of so much more!  Paired with our natural plucked string partner\, the guitar\, we’ll explore some offerings from the mandolin’s extensive repertoire. Elaine Kelly\, Harvey Linnen\, Susan McLaughlin\, Ed Rodger\, Desiree Veitenheimer\, and Brenda Yu will play a mix of light pop\, jazz\, folk\, and turn-of-the last century music on mandolins\, octave mandolin\, and guitars. \nThe “Quartet of 6” are all members of a much larger group\, the Regina Mandolin Orchestra\, which was founded in 1988.  We enjoy the small ensemble format as it allows us to explore a wider range of repertoire. \nThe Regina Mandolin Orchestra (RMO) is a dynamic\, non-professional orchestra creating a plucked string sound that is unique in Saskatchewan. The orchestra is comprised of approximately 40 musicians\, primarily playing mandolin\, mandola\, octave mandolin\, and mandocello. Their instrumentation includes other string instruments (guitars\, violins\, bouzouki\, double bass)\, as well as flutes and some percussion. They have been entertaining\, enriching and educating audiences for 37 years\, and the group has continuously evolved over that time. For more information about the Regina Mandolin Orchestra\, check out their website HERE. \n  \n
