Come and join a restorative Yoga class at the Regina Floral Conservatory the first Sundayof every month from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. (Except for April – Yoga will be on the 16th).
There is a limit of 30 participants for these classes and you must pre-register.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 12:30PM THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE SUNDAY CLASS via a link from the event. Find the next yoga class on our event calendar.
The class is hosted by: Pamela R. Kovacs, a volunteer with the Regina Garden Associates and a Sivananda 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor.
The cost is donation based (give what you can) with all proceeds given to the Regina Floral Conservatory.
The Gentle Restorative Yoga Class in the Sivananda tradition incorporates breathing (yogic breathing can help reduce stress by deeply and consciously increasing oxygen intake), exercise (yogic exercises can help develop a strong and healthy body by enhancing flexibility and improving circulation) and relaxation(yogic relaxation can help keep the body from going into overload, ease worry and reduce fatigue).
No prior experience with yoga is necessary. Participants will need to:
Bring their own yoga mat
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes
Be mindful of time (participants can arrive 10 minutes early for class which will start on time and the entry door will be locked)
Disclose any injuries
Identify whether adjustments are preferred during class
The Regina Floral Conservatory is operated by volunteers of the Regina Garden Associates (RGA). Volunteer at the Conservatory by becoming a member of the RGA. There are many roles for you to get involved and volunteer your time!
Your purchase of a membership provides essential financial support for the ongoing maintenance of the Regina Floral Conservatory and our dream to build a new conservatory in Wascana Centre. We are always excited to welcome new members!
